| Summary, etc. | RésuméLe tempérament de l’enfant a été en France, depuis des décennies, un concept impopulaire, de par certains des aspects inhérents à sa définition (son origine constitutionnelle, sa stabilité). Dans la littérature scientifique de langue anglaise, ce concept, fort utilisé, a évolué, et a été largement opérationnalisé par la création de nombreux outils d’évaluation. Mais qu’en est-il aujourd’hui de nos conceptions sur le tempérament du nourrisson ? En adoptant une perspective interactionniste, il s’agit de s’interroger sur ce que peut apporter ce concept à une meilleure compréhension du fonctionnement de la dyade mère-bébé, ainsi qu’en matière de prévention et d’information au niveau d’éventuels dysfonctionnements interactifs. Un intérêt particulier sera accordé à l’une des principales dimensions tempéramentales jusqu’ici étudiée, à savoir, l’irritabilité du nourrisson. |

| Summary, etc. | The concept of the baby’s temperament was, in France, since decades, an unpopular concept, from some of aspects which chaired its definition formerly (its constitutional origin, its stability). In the scientific literature of English language, this concept extremely used, changed, and was largely operationalized by the creation of many instruments of evaluation. But what’s happening today with our conceptions about the very young infant’s temperament ? By adopting an interactionnist perspective, it is a question of wondering about what can bring this concept to a better comprehension of the functioning of the dyad mother-baby, like prevention information on the level of possible interactive dysfunctions. A detailed interest will be given to one of the principal temperamental dimensions studied, namely, the infant’s irritability. |
