| Summary, etc. | La séparation imposée par la prématurité ou la maladie d’un nouveau-né est potentiellement traumatique pour les parents contraints de rencontrer leur bébé au sein du service de néonatologie sous le regard permanent des soignants, des autres parents, coupés de leur groupe familial. Cet article analyse d’abord les effets délétères de l’inversion des valeurs des espaces intimes ou publics sur la parentalité naissante. Les auteures ont proposé au sein de la salle de néonatologie un temps de rencontre entre parents pour les soutenir dans la création du lien avec leur bébé et de leur identité parentale. À l’appui de vignettes cliniques, elles tentent de montrer que ce dispositif groupal in situ restaure une illusion d’intimité et de communauté sociale permettant aux parents de négocier les paradoxes psychiques liés à l’état de prématurité et à la séparation contrainte d’avec leur bébé. |

| Summary, etc. | The separation imposed by the prematurity or illness of a new-born is potentially traumatic for the parents as they are forced to encounter their baby in the neonatal unit, under the constant gaze of caregivers and other parents and being cut off from their family group. This article first analyses the detrimental effects of the reversal of values between intimate or public spaces on nascent parenthood. The authors proposed, within the neonatology unit, a meeting time between parents in order to support them in creating a bond with their baby and their own parental identity. With support from clinical vignettes, they seek to show that this group measure “in situ” restores an illusion of intimacy and social community enabling the parents to deal with the psychological paradoxes relating to the state of prematurity and forced separation from their infant. |
