Or, la présomption d’hétérosexualité étant toujours aussi prégnante, les homosexuels sont appelés à s’engager dans une construction identitaire complexe. Comment construit-on une identité homosexuelle dans un tel contexte social ? Comment la gère-t-on socialement ? Telles sont les questions au cœur de cet article qui vise à rendre compte des dimensions intervenant dans le processus de construction de l’identité homosexuelle, des tensions pouvant surgir, ainsi que des stratégies identitaires développées pour gérer celles-ci. |

| Summary, etc. | The Western societies show today more openness and tolerance toward homosexuality. However, the social order remains strongly heteronormative. Now, as the heterosexual presumption still has great resonance, homosexuals have to engage themselves in a complex identity construction. How is the homosexual identity constructed in such a social context ? How it is socially managed ? These are the main questions of this paper, which proposes to discuss dimensions involved in the homosexual identity construction process, conflicts that may arise, as well as identity strategies developed to cope with them. |

| Summary, etc. | Actualmente, las sociedades occidentales son más abiertas y tolerantes con respecto a la homosexualidad. Sin embargo, el orden social sigue siendo fuertemente heteronormativo. Puesto que la presunción de heterosexualidad se mantiene vigente, los homosexuales se ven obligados a entablar una construcción identitaria compleja. ¿ Cómo se construye una identidad homosexual en un contexto social de esas características ? ¿ Cómo se la gestiona socialmente ? Tales son las preguntas que afronta este artículo, que pretende dar cuenta de las dimensiones que intervienen en el proceso de construcción de la identidad homosexual, las tensiones que pueden surgir, así como las estrategias identitarias que se desarrollan para gestionar estas últimas. |

| Summary, etc. | Westliche Gesellschaften zeigen sich heutzutage offener und toleranter gegenüber Homose-xualität. Trotzdem bleibt die soziale Ordnung in starkem Maße Heteronormativ. Unter dieser Bedingung einer großen Bedeutung der Heterosexualität werden Homosexuelle mit komple-xen Anforderungen an die Konstruktion einer eigenen Identität konfrontiert. Wie wird in die-sem sozialen Kontext heutzutage eine homosexuelle Identität konstruiert ? Wie wird sie sozial gehandhabt ? Dies sind die zentralen Fragen des Beitrags, in dem die Dimensionen der Identi-tätskonstruktion, die dabei entstehende Konflikte und die Identitätsstrategien der Homosexu-ellen herausgearbeitet werden. |
