Summary, etc. | In the classroom another living thing is happening, beyond the expected acquisition of knowledges and educational learnings. The classroom is a place of socialization which gives the possibility to girls and boys to be together in the same space and to experiment the differences related to genders. How concretely do girls and boys take possession, through their activities, of the classroom? The following article studies this question through the perspective of school interactions, modes of physical and sonorous occupation, and the accordance with school standards. It shows that the classroom is used as a space of specific experiences for the cultural construction of genders, prone to the forming of female and male identities by the children of elementary school. |
