520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Ranked among the least developed countries, Ethiopia has been recognised as among the most dynamic over the last ten years and its government plans to join the ranks of middle-income countries by 2025. Even though the economy is predominantly agricultural and the country is dependant on food aid, the government has made industrialization a priority and has adopted an ‘invitation strategy’ for emerging countries, including China. However, despite efforts made since 2000, the manufacturing sector’s percentage of GDP has not increased, and manufacturing exports remain low.
