| Summary, etc. | In this interview, sociologist Dominique Schnapper, Professor Emeritus at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS), looks back on her teaching and research career and on her positions at the head of several institutions. As a former member of the Conseil constitutionnel, President of the musée d’Art et d’histoire du judaïsme, and President of the Conseil des sages de la laïcité et des valeurs de la République, the sociologist has included Jews throughout her career in her sociological reflection on democracy, as, in her opinion, minorities, particularly the Jewish minority, are particularly relevant objects for analyzing the functioning of democratic societies. |
