Summary, etc. This article presents the SCORS method (Social cognition and object relation scale), created by Drew Westen (1990) to score the TAT stories, particularly for empirical studies. SCORS cover eight 7-point scales, used to score many aspects of object relations, as they appear in the TAT stories. The eight scales are presented and the international validation studies of SCORS are synthesized. The clinical interest of SCORS is illustrated by scoring three stories by two subjects (normal and schizophrenia). The interests and limits of SCORS are discussed. The empirical methods, like SCORS, allow TAT data to be used in empirical and quantitative studies which are of great interest for research in clinical psychology.
