| Summary, etc. | This article compares the Deleuze-Guattarian concept of “deterritorialization” and the problem of representation within the psychoanalytic context. Often, this problem is seen to be linked with the Oedipus complex, its network of norms through which the symbolic order emerges. The Lacanian concept of “sinthome” might be considered as another version of representation in psychoanalysis. This is where it meets the concepts of “deterritorialization,” whose root is the “image of thought”: the sinthome promotes a form of singularity which is not necessarily based on a presupposed (sexual) difference. |
