| Summary, etc. | It is easy to understand that identity is an important dimension of ethical codes considering that one of the objectives of corporate social responsibility is to promote a model of “corporate welfare” competing with nation-states. The cohesion put into action by corporations cannot be legitimized either on the bases of its efficiency or its roots in democracy. They thus have to mobilize other resources: the control of collective identities and fraternal aspirations among workers is used to favor a private solidarity versus public fraternalism built by welfare states. |
