Summary, etc. | “Over and over again remaining work in progress”, this is the age-old adage. Repetition, which is part of the death drive, is also a vital necessity. It is about institutions. This work is based on the comparison between two concepts, which the Catalan psychiatrist François Tosquelles insisted on by contrasting them: the establishment and the institution; opposition too soon forgotten. But it is through another comparison that this one will appear to us as heuristic for today: the comparison between institutional psychotherapy and anti-psychiatry. Last but not least, I will address the crucial question: what can be done now, when the establishment is destroying institutions? |
