520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The article focuses on the relations between the communities of Rhomaioi settled in the Aegean islands and the cities that host them. By studying the public banquets, I show that these cities, mostly free, still have control over the categories of foreigners; but there is an evolution linked to the establishment of the roman domination: the Romans, at first integrated with the other foreigners, freed themselves from it in order to be included in a separate category. The study of the Roman community of Cos shows that the relationship between the Romans settled on the island and the city depends on the state of the imperium Romanum, between violence of the civil wars and imperial pacification.
