Summary, etc. The therapeutic process of a family therapy, with a child suffering from obesity, has demonstrated the complexity of such a pathology. Family dynamics are characterised by a lack of differentiation between mother and child, together with a failure of the family holding. This failure of the family holding is specified by the occurrence of gross elements, signs of a domestic violence and sexual abuse at the previous generation. The analysis of family links reveals the presence of an unconscious pact. The aim of this therapy is not so an approach of these traumatic events but rather a group elaboration of various elements which occur in the “ hic et nunc” of the session of therapy. These raw elements aim at hiding a range of generational violence problems probably due to an inexpressible transgenerational transmission. This metabolization of raw elements makes the process of separation and individuation possible within the members of the family.
