| Summary, etc. | Un certain nombre de méthodes permettent le repérage des éléments d’une représentation sociale. Cependant, ces dernières présentent trop souvent l’inconvénient d’être dépendantes du langage. A partir de la représentation sociale du médicament, nous avons comparé les éléments issus de deux tâches d’association libres : verbale (n=304) et iconographique (n=304). Bien que l’on trouve au sein de ces dernières des éléments communs, on observe la mise en exergue d’une structure représentationnelle spécifique à la tâche de production, dans le premier cas le schème de la médication, dans le second cas l’importance de la pharmacie comme lieu de vente et la dimension esthétique du médicament. Les résultats suggèrent que la tâche d’association iconographique permet d’extraire les éléments objectivables de la représentation de façon prototypique. |

| Summary, etc. | The iconographic association task: Highlighting the objectification process in medecine’s social representationA vast array of methods is developed to apprehend the items of social representations. Although, those methods are mainly based on language. Thanks to the social representation of medicine, we compared the results of two free associations tasks: verbal (n=304) and iconographic (n=304). Although some of the items are common in both tasks, each of them lets appear a specific representational structure: for the first one the scheme of medicine and for the second one the importance of pharmacy as point of sale and the esthetic dimension of medicine as well. The results allow us to suggest that the iconographic association task is a method which enables us to extract the objectified items of a representation in a prototypical way. |
