| Summary, etc. | L’auteur soutient que l’image de l’exil appartient d’une manière particulière, aussi bien à la figure de l’analyste qu’à celle de l’analyse. L’analyste, de fait, ne se trouve jamais là où le patient cherche à le placer, de la même manière que le cadre analytique, lieu a-topos, est un lieu de transit et d’intersection entre deux étrangers, et c’est ainsi qu’il doit rester jusqu’à la fin. La recherche d’une patrie comme lieu du sens ultime ou encore comme lieu de la parole définitive est, pour cette raison, et par nécessité, toujours frustrée et toujours renvoyée ailleurs. Mettant en contrepoint l’usage de la métaphore en tant que figure rhétorique qui appartient spécifiquement au statut singulier du rapport analytique, avec l’usage de la métonymie comme parole qui elle énoncerait du définitif et qui serait celle d’un rapatriement illusoire, l’auteur considère que c’est seulement en se maintenant dans le milieu exilé du comme si métaphorique qu’on peut trouver le sens profond de cette opus contra naturam qu’est l’exploration de l’inconscient. |

| Summary, etc. | The author maintains that the image of exile belongs to the figure of the analyst as well as to the figure of the analysand, but in a special way. As a result, the analyst is never to be found where the patient seeks to place him or her; likewise, the analytic setting, an a topos place, is an area of transition and intersection between two strangers, and must always remain that way. For this reason, the search for a homeland as a realm of ultimate meaning, where the language spoken is free of ambiguity, remains by necessity and design dissatisfied and is continually re-initiated. The author contrasts the usage of metaphor as a rhetorical device specific to the special status of the analytic relation and the usage of metonymy as an unambiguous, definitive language which could function as that of an illusory homecoming, the author considers that the profound meaning of the exploration of the unconscious — in itself, an opus contra naturam — can only be grasped if the exiled setting of the metaphorical “as if” is maintained. |
