| Summary, etc. |
| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. | Working from Binswanger’s proposition that « writing is in fact a way of seeing », we suggest that we question this form of seeing. What does it mean to say that writing is a way of seeing ? Furthermore, how does the form of perception of seeing contribute to the construction of a psychic working ? In this article, we shall examine the first systems of signs, the first methods of representation of reality often first « drawn » as figures reproducing what is seen then changing towards simplifications and conventions that are integrations of these first methods. In the drawing, as in writing as such, this means tracing lines, an eminently significant gesture that inscibes the subject in culture and in the city. Using the idea of traces, we then go on to question mnestic traces and the methods for construction of memory to continue our route towards the unconscious as imaged writing. The images generated by the subject (dreams, phantasms, reveries, fictions and visual creations) are truly a means of access in the « reminiscent present » (Fédida) to an immediate past. |
