| Summary, etc. | Résumé L’allocation universelle consiste en un revenu inconditionnel garanti à chaque citoyen. Cette idée dont l’histoire récente a surtout été européenne présente de nos jours un intérêt accru à deux points de vue. Premièrement parce qu’elle propose une solution alternative aux problèmes de chômage et de pauvreté persistants que connaissent les sociétés européennes. Deuxièmement parce que, en reconnaissant le droit à l’existence de l’individu indépendamment de sa participation au travail salarié, elle repose sur une nouvelle conception de l’identité sociale. Cet article se propose donc de montrer, à travers une étude historique et analytique, en quoi cette idée peut s’affirmer aujourd’hui comme une nouvelle perspective sociale pour l’Europe. |

| Summary, etc. | Basic income is an unconditional income guaranteed to each citizen. This idea, whose recent history is especially european, seems to be of high interest from a double point of view. First, it proposes an alternative solution for european country’s problems of persistent unemployment and poverty. Then because, by recognizing the right to live to individuals, even out of the area of paid work, it lays on a new design of social identity. The purpose of this article is to show, through a historical and analytical study, that basic income can be considered as a new social prospect for Europe. |
