| Summary, etc. | RésuméProjet et observatoire sont des termes qui s’interpellent et interagissent dans les discours et les pratiques d’acteurs dans de nombreux domaines d’activité. Curieusement, cette interaction est peu interrogée et laisse supposer que la relation va de soi. Cet article propose d’explorer les conditions sociotechniques par lesquelles cette articulation s’est construite pour en comprendre la continuité historique et le regain d’intérêt actuel. L’analyse montre que la relation projet-observatoire est un dispositif de mise en visibilité de l’action qui repose sur de nouvelles formes d’institutionnalisation de la pratique scientifique dans l’espace social. |

| Summary, etc. | The words Project and Observatory are questioning each other and interacting in speech and actual practice in many fields of activity. Oddly this interaction is seldom questioned as if it were a matter of fact. The socio-technical conditions by which this interaction has emerged are explored in this work in order to understand its historical lineage and the current renewed interest in this matter. This analysis shows that the relationship project-observatory is devised for action to be visible and relies on new forms of institutionalisation of the scientific practice in the social environment. |

| Summary, etc. | Resumen Proyecto y observatorio son términos que se interpelan e interactúan en los discursos y las prácticas de actores en numerosos sectores de actividad. Curiosamente esta interacción es poco interrogada y deja suponer que la relación es obvia. Este artículo propone explorar las condiciones sociales y técnicas desde las que esta articulación se construyó para así comprender mejor su continuidad histórica y el interés que vuelve a despertar. El análisis muestra que la relación proyecto-observatorio es un dispositivo de puesta en visibilidad de la acción que reposa sobre nuevas formas de institucionalización de la práctica científica en el espacio social. |
