| Summary, etc. | Après avoir proposé l’ ehpad en temps de Covid et de confinement comme une institution totale (I. Goffman) au carré, les auteurs s’attachent à repérer comment Covid et confinement ont révélé, amplifié, certains des enjeux fantastiques ordinairement contenus dans le cadre institutionnel et le métacadre social, en particulier quant à la mort, mort dont l’angoisse est bien souvent traitée en l’assignant à la vieillesse tant du côté des professionnels que des familles. La dernière partie insiste plus particulièrement sur la mise à mal des liens du fait des confinements, montrant que la vie n’est alors pensée que sous l’angle biologique, au déni des dimensions psychiques d’étayage et d’investissements mutuels. |

| Summary, etc. | Having suggested that old people’s care homes in times of Covid and lockdown are total institutions (E. Goffman) to the power of 2, the authors set out to identify how Covid and lockdown have revealed and amplified some of the phantasized issues that are normally contained in the institutional framework and the social metaframework, in particular concerning death, anxiety about which is very often dealt with by attributing it to old age both by professionals and families. The last part places particular emphasis on how social ties are undermined by lockdowns, showing that life is then considered only from the biological standpoint, while denying psychic dimensions of support and mutual investments. |
