Pour répondre à la question, l’auteur postule l’existence d’un statut anthropologique sous-jacent des infirmes dont les effets sont à la mesure de sa puissance. La figure de l’infirme comme représentation de mort se trouve au cœur d’un film à nul autre pareil : Freaks, réalisé en 1932 par Tod Browning, met en scène des comédiens aux infirmités authentiques. Il tient l’originalité et la force de son discours dans son audace à traiter ces questions par la mise en scène de vraies infirmités et ouvre ainsi un passage pour comprendre la place assignée aujourd’hui à la personne en situation de handicap. |
