| Summary, etc. | Anserine (Dysphania ambrosioides L.), is a herbaceous plant widely used in traditional medicine in Morocco, for its therapeutic properties including antipyretics, analgesics, antispasmodics and anti-inflammatories. However, this medicinal use is at risk of serious or even fatal poisoning, especially in young children, most often following repetitive use. We report seven cases of severe M’khinza poisoning in six children and one adult, resulting in neurological, digestive and/or respiratory disorders. The outcome was favorable in three of the children, but fatal in the other three and in the adult. |

| Summary, etc. | L’ansérine (Dysphania ambrosioides L.), est une plante herbacée très utilisée en médecine traditionnelle au Maroc, pour ses propriétés thérapeutiques notamment antipyrétiques, antalgiques, antispasmodiques et anti-inflammatoires. Cet usage médicinal est cependant à risques d’intoxications graves, voire mortelles, notamment chez l’enfant en bas âge, le plus souvent suite à un emploi répétitif. Nous rapportons sept cas d’intoxications graves à M’khinza, chez six enfants et un adulte, se traduisant par des troubles neurologiques, digestifs et/ou respiratoires. L’évolution a été favorable chez trois des enfants, mais fatale chez les trois autres et chez l’adulte. |
