| Summary, etc. | Systemic scleroderma is a connective tissue disease associated with an increased risk of cancer compared to the general population. A simultaneous occurrence of cancer and systemic scleroderma (or sclerodermo-like syndrome) may also suggest the diagnosis of paraneoplastic sclerodermiform syndrome. Observation: we report a 51 year old woman who was presented with ovarian neoplasia in whom a scleroderma-like syndrome was diagnosed at the occasion of a marked aggravation of her cancer and evoke the diagnosis of paraneoplastic sclerodermiform syndrome. Conclusion: the prevalence of cancers during systemic scleroderma or scleroderma-like syndrome is important and it is also possible that, as in dermatomyositis, we can observe paraneoplastic sclerodermiform syndromes. In addition, it seems important to track cancer in cases of late onset sclerodermiform syndrome, significant general signs, failure response to treatment or positivity of anti-RNA polymerase III antibodies. |

| Summary, etc. | La sclérodermie systémique est une connectivite au cours de laquelle le risque de cancer est majoré par rapport à la population générale. La survenue simultanée d’un cancer et d’une sclérodermie systémique ou d’un syndrome sclérodermiforme pourrait par ailleurs faire évoquer le diagnostic de syndrome sclérodermiforme paranéoplasique. Observation : nous rapportons l’observation d’une patiente présentant une néoplasie ovarienne au cours de laquelle un syndrome sclérodermiforme était diagnostiqué au moment d’une nette aggravation de son cancer et évoquons le diagnostic de syndrome sclérodermiforme paranéoplasique. Conclusion : la prévalence des cancers au cours de la sclérodermie systémique et des syndromes sclérodermiformes est importante et il est possible qu’à l’instar de la dermatomyosite, on puisse observer des syndromes sclérodermiformes paranéoplasiques. De plus, il semble important de traquer le cancer en cas de syndrome sclérodermiforme de début tardif, de signes généraux importants, de réponse insuffisante aux traitements ou en cas de positivité des anticorps anti-ARN polymérase de type III. |
