520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | Different placement institutions can have, because of their missions and societal context, several biases in common. The first part of this paper traces some of these drifts: “avoidable” placements; deadlines and admission criteria; family ambivalence as a source of rivalry; stress originated by home return; expulsions; lack of follow-up of young adults past their age of majority. The second part of the paper shows in which aspects the implementation of an ambulatory follow-up both before and after a placement can help reducing some of these negative impacts. At the light of it, this paper advocates for the end of a political division between residential structures and ambulatory services. |
