| Summary, etc. | RésuméL’étude de la grande prématurité se focalise souvent sur les répercussions que celle-ci peut avoir sur l’enfant. Dans ce travail, nous avons voulu aborder son retentissement sur la mère, et plus particulièrement pour ce qui concerne sa fonction parentale de protection de son enfant. Afin de mesurer cet impact, nous avons eu recours aux apports de la théorie de l’attachement, et notamment à la conceptualisation du système parental de caregiving. Nous avons cherché à établir un questionnaire visant à aborder avec les mères de grands prématurés la représentation qu’elles se font de leur rôle de protection vis-à-vis de leur enfant, et ce, au travers du récit, fait par elles, de leur expérience dans la période périnatale. Nous présentons également quelques éléments de cotation à appliquer au discours de la mère. Ces éléments, issus de la recherche attachementiste, permettent notamment d’apprécier l’impact du traumatisme sur la présente capacité de la mère à mettre en œuvre des soins adaptés à l’enfant. |

| Summary, etc. | Studies concerning about prematurity often focus on repercussions on the child. In this work, we sought to address effects on the mother, especially effects on her protective role towards her child. From this perspective, we had recourse to attachment theory, particularly its conceptualization of the maternal caregiving system. We developed a questionnaire in order to address maternal representations of protection. By using this questionnaire, we asked two mothers to tell about their experience when their child was born. We also introduce some rating factors, which stem from attachment research, so as to assess the impact of the traumatism on maternal caregiving. We end up with a mother’s narration to illustrate our topic. |
