| Summary, etc. | Cet article a pour but de rappeler l’importance des frères de lait ( conlactei) dans le contexte de la société romaine païenne. Pour cela, nous nous concentrerons sur les sources épigraphiques, iconographiques et littéraires, en nous concentrant d’une part sur la relation affective entre les frères et d’autre part sur le lien qui existait entre eux et leurs nourrices. Ces liens familiers dépassaient strictement le cadre biologique, allant jusqu’au niveau affectif et sentimental, en observant une relation émotionnelle qui dépassait la période de l’allaitement et durait dans certains cas toute la vie. |

| Summary, etc. | The Conlactei in Ancient Rome: Epigraphic, Iconographic, and Literary SourcesThis paper aims at reviewing the importance of milk brothers ( conlactei) within the context of the pagan Roman society. To do this, I examine epigraphic, iconographic, and literary sources, focusing, on one hand, on the relationship of affection between the brothers and, on the other, on the link that existed between them with their wet nurses. These family ties that went beyond the strictly biological, entered the affective and emotional level, showing an emotional relationship that exceeded breastfeeding and, in some cases, were lifelong. |

| Summary, etc. | En este artículo se pretende repasar la importancia de los hermanos de leche ( conlactei) dentro del contexto de la sociedad romana pagana. Para ello nos centraremos en las fuentes epigráficas, iconográficas y literarias, incidiendo por un lado en la relación afectiva entre los hermanos y por otro, en el vínculo que existió entre estos con sus nodrizas. Estos lazos familiares excedían estrictamente lo biológico, pasando al plano afectivo y sentimental, observándose una relación emocional que excedía el período de lactancia y perduraba en algunos casos durante toda la vida. |
