520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The Argive city entered the orbit of Rome in 195 BC, recognizing that it owed the enjoyment of “freedom” to the Roman authorities. If the Argives benefit from their privileged relationship with Rome, which considers them as primary intermediaries in the Achaean world, they are not necessarily passive actors. The study of the reception given to the Romans in the city and an analysis of the mythological representations disseminated by the Argives allow us to identify an Argive global political strategy in order to integrate and to shape the new system that is the imperium Romanum.
