J.-C. la société juive réagissait d’une manière diverse. Sur le plan politique une partie de l’élite juive s’adaptait aux conditions nouvelles tandis que quelques Hasmonéens essayaient de se libérer de la domination romaine par plusieurs révoltes qui semblent s’être appuyées principalement sur la population rurale. Au plan idéologique, plusieurs auteurs apocryphes tentent d’intégrer ces événements catastrophiques dans une vision du monde déterminée par la religion en vue de les harmoniser avec le dessein des dieux pour les hommes. |

Politically a part of the elite accepted Roman rule and adapted to its demands while some Hasmoneans tried to free the country probably with the help of the rural population. On the ideological level several apocryph writers document efforts to integrate the catastrophe in a religiously determined world view and to harmonise it with gods plan for mankind. |

| Summary, etc. | Die jüdische Gesellschaft reagierte auf vielfältige Weise auf die Eroberung Jerusalems durch den römischen Feldherrn Pompeius im Jahre 63. Auf politischer Ebene stand ein Anpassungskurs eines Teils der führenden Schichten mehrmaligen Aufstandsversuchen einzelner Hasmonäer gegenüber, die sich vornehmlich auf die Landbevölkerung abgestützt zu haben scheinen. Schriftliche Äußerungen apokrypher Autoren dokumentieren daneben verschiedene Versuche, die Katastrophe in ein religiös bestimmtes Weltbild einzuordnen und mit Gottes Weltplan in Einklang zu bringen. |
