| Summary, etc. | Résumé Les difficultés d’un adolescent, en le masquant et en le révélant à la fois, viennent souvent faire symptôme d’un problème existant dans le couple de ses parents. Cet article, à travers trois cas cliniques de familles à l’organisation et aux préoccupations différentes, montre comment la pathologie de l’adolescent peut s’effacer dès que les parents se dégagent de leurs inquiétudes à son sujet pour se recentrer sur leur propre problématique de couple. Une thérapie conjugale permet alors à l’adolescent de (re)trouver un espace personnel qu’il pourra investir alors selon sa problématique propre. |

| Summary, etc. | Parents of adolescents: from the parental to the conjugal The difficulties encountered by an adolescent, in a simultaneous process of masking and revelation, often appear to be the symptom of a problem existing in the parental couple. Through three clinical cases of families with different modes of organisation and preoccupations, the present article shows how the adolescent’s pathology can be removed once the parents relinquish their own worries as to their offspring to again focus on their own issues as a couple. Marital therapy then allows the adolescent to find or recover a space for themselves that he or she can invest in accordance with their own specific issues. |
