| Summary, etc. | L’auteur présente les résultats d’une recherche sur les violences conjugales menée auprès de cent femmes algériennes résidant dans une petite ville de l’intérieur du pays. L’objectif de la recherche est de cerner le vécu psychologique de ces femmes, leurs réactions, les conséquences des violences qu’elles subissent (psychiques et somatiques), le support dont elles peuvent bénéficier de la part de leur famille... et, ce faisant, de proposer des hypothèses visant à comprendre les raisons pour lesquelles des femmes ayant subi des violences pendant de longues années demeurent toujours avec leur agresseur. Il semblerait que ces femmes soient aux prises d’une « guerre de basse intensité », celle menée contre les populations civiles faite de désinformation, de contrôle et de répression. |

| Summary, etc. | On some facets of the violence meted out to women in AlgeriaThe author introduces the results of a research work on domestic violence conducted with a hundred Algerian women living in a small town in the interior of the country. The research objective was to better understand the psychological experience of these women, their reactions, the consequences of the (psychic and somatic) violence they suffer from, and the support they can be afforded by their families... and, in so doing, to propose hypotheses so as better to understand the reasons for which women having been subjected to violence for so many years continue to stay living with their aggressors. It would appear that these women are taken up in a kind of “low intensity war”, like that waged against civil populations, made up of disinformation, control and repression. |
