| Summary, etc. | L’article cherche à clarifier l’articulation de la nature et de l’histoire dans l’ Idée d’une histoire universelle au point de vue cosmopolitique, et montre que la manière dont Kant pense cette articulation trouve son fondement dans ses écrits sur la nature des années 1750. Il apparaît ainsi que Kant propose une conception naturaliste de l’histoire, non pas au sens où il déterminerait l’histoire humaine par des processus naturels, mais au sens où il a été chercher dans l’histoire de la nature un modèle pour penser l’histoire humaine. Une ligne directrice se fait ainsi jour à travers l’œuvre kantienne. Par là, il ne s’agit pas de nier le tournant décisif qu’introduit le projet criticiste chez Kant, mais de souligner la persistance d’un motif naturaliste qui est commun à la période précritique et à la période critique. |

| Summary, etc. | The article wishes to clarify the articulation of nature and history in Kant’s Idea for a Universal History with a Cosmopolitan Purpose, and argue that the way Kant thinks out this articulation derives from his writings on nature in the years around 1750. Kant puts forward a naturalist conception of history not in the sense that he determined human history as a result of natural processes but rather in the sense that he found a model to think out human history in the history of nature. A guiding line thus emerges in the Kantian oeuvre. In bringing this out, one is not attempting to belittle the decisive turn introduced by Kant’s “critical” thinking, but instead one is hoping to underscore the persistence of a naturalist motif which bridges the pre-“critical” and the “critical” period of Kant’s thinking. |

| Summary, etc. | ResumenEl presente artículo procura evidenciar la articulación entre naturaleza e historia en la Idea de una historia universal desde el punto de vista cosmopolita, y muestra que la manera con la que Kant piensa esta articulación encuentra su origen en sus escritos sobre la naturaleza, redactados en los años 1750. Kant propone así una concepción naturalista de la historia, no en el sentido en el que determinaría la historia humana por unos procesos naturales, sino en la medida en que se fue a buscar en la historia de la naturaleza un modelo para pensar la historia humana. Una línea directriz aparece de este modo en la obra kantiana. Por este medio, no se trata de negar el giro decisivo que introduce el proyecto criticista en la obra de Kant sino de subrayar la persistencia de un motivo naturalista que resulta ser común al periodo precrítico y al periodo crítico. |
