| Summary, etc. | RésuméQu’il soit présenté comme une « révolution » technologique ou comme une innovation en matière de pratiques sociales, le web 2.0 et son pendant éducatif le connectivisme se trouvent aujourd’hui au cœur des discours relatifs à internet et de ses « impacts » en éducation. La présente recherche a comme objectifs de mieux connaître le web 2.0 et le connectivisme comme héritier du connexionnisme en intelligence artificielle, et de découvrir leurs possibilités et leurs impacts en formation en ligne. Nous avons fait appel à une approche quantitative qui s’appuie sur un questionnaire en ligne qui avait pour but d’évaluer le cours en ligne PED3717. Les données quantitatives ont été recueillies auprès de 149 étudiants de baccalauréat en éducation à la Faculté d’Éducation de l’Université d’Ottawa, dans le cadre du cours PED 3717 Impact des technologies en éducation. Les résultats montrent que les activités et outils du web 2.0 semblent susciter une meilleure perception d’apprentissage chez les étudiants et permettent d’illustrer un cas de formation connectiviste. |

| Summary, etc. | Web 2.0 has been described as a technological innovation in social practices. Taken together with its educational counterpart connectivism, these two elements form an important part of Internet discourse and make a significant contribution to its impact on education. This research aims to develop a better understanding of Web 2.0 and connectivism as evolved forms of connexionism in artificial intelligence, and to discover their capabilities for, and their impact on, online learning. We used a quantitative approach, based on an online questionnaire which was designed to evaluate the online course PED3717, “Impact of Technology in Education”. Quantitative data were collected from 149 students at the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa who were studying this course. Results show that the activities and Web 2.0 tools seem to create a better understanding of student learning, and illustrate a case for connectivism training. |
