| Summary, etc. | Cet article cherche à expliquer la persistance de la notion d’homosexualité « situationnelle », mobilisée tant par la recherche que par le milieu pénitentiaire pour appréhender la question des sexualités en prison. L’homosexualité « situationnelle » se distinguerait d’une homosexualité supposée authentique et serait induite par la non-mixité de l’environnement carcéral. Ancrée dans les premiers travaux d’importance en sociologie carcérale aux États-Unis d’Amérique, cette notion n’a été que tardivement remise en question, à la faveur des apports féministes et queer. Cette contribution retrace de manière critique l’histoire de ce concept pour montrer qu’il a avant tout servi à consolider l’ordre hétérosexuel. |

| Summary, etc. | This article seeks to explain the persistence of the notion of “situational” homosexuality, used by both researchers and penitentiary staff to address the issue of sexuality in prison. “Situational” homosexuality is understood as distinct from a supposedly authentic homosexuality and is said to be induced by the non-mixed environment of prison. Fixed in the first important sociological research in the United States of America, this notion was only recently challenged, thanks to feminist and queer theories. This paper critically recounts the history of this concept to show that it has primarily served to consolidate the heterosexual order. |

La homosexualidad «situacional» es distinta de la homosexualidad supuestamente auténtica y es estimulada por el carácter no mixto del entorno carcelario. Anclada en los primeros trabajos de sociología penitenciaria en los Estados Unidos, esta noción sólo ha sido cuestionada con posterioridad por las aportaciones feministas y queer. Este artículo recorre críticamente la historia de este concepto para demostrar que ha servido, principalmente, para consolidar el orden heterosexual. |

| Summary, etc. | Dieser Artikel versucht die Dauerhaftigkeit des Begriffs der „situativen“ Homosexualität zu erklären, der sowohl in der Strafvollzugsforschung als auch im Milieu des Strafvollzugs eingesetzt wird, um die Frage der Sexualität im Gefängnis zu verstehen. „Situative“ Homosexualität unterscheide sich von der als authentisch angenommenen Sexualität und sei hervorgerufen durch die Geschlechtertrennung im Gefängnisumfeld. Verwurzelt in den ersten bedeutsamen Arbeiten der Gefängnissoziologie in den USA, wurde diese Vorstellung erst spät, dank feministischer und queerer Beiträge, in Frage gestellt. Dieser Beitrag vergegenwärtigt in kritischer Weise die Geschichte dieses Konzepts um zu zeigen, dass es vor allem der Festigung der heterosexuellen Ordnung gedient hat. |
