520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The aim of this paper is to study Hans Jonas’s works regarding the normative ontology of economics. We would like to focus on the raisons d’être of economic activity, which are currently rather less known and less studied ideas of Jonas. To what extent, and on what basis, can we question the dynamics that are simultaneously creative and destructive of our economy? Three crucial ideas will be analyzed: Jonas’s critique of Baconian idealism and the moralization of the practical use of theory, a dialogue with Marx within the “self-temperance” perspective of humanity, and the “economic wisdom” based on the ignorance of our activity goals. The final purpose is to study how ignorance, as an impediment to predictability, can affect not only our vision of the future but also our responsibility towards it.
