| Summary, etc. | This article seeks to question the categories of “North” and “South” by putting into perspective debates on authority in the family. Such discussion has been developing in Senegal following the debates on the Family Code since 2002 and in France at the time of the urban incidents of 2005. It takes as starting point the process of questioning of traditional figures of authority in the family and in politics, to show how the complexity of a crisis in the “North” can find clues for understanding and lines of study to follow in the “South”. |
