520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Essentialist ideas, which give special value to specific feminine talents, are ? to say the least ? ambiguous because they lead to promoting women’s access to responsibilities not on the basis of their “universal worth” but because of an identity which is shaped by their nature and the specific oppression from which they suffer. In addition, the broad assimilation of these ideas leads people to believe that the progress towards an integrated workforce will succeed on condition that women agree to “redefine” themselves with the help of a coach, to “sell themselves” through their specifically feminine performance and finally to “be content” with a still precarious economic and material equality.
