Summary, etc. Organizational justice has long been acknowledged as a key element in the relations between employees and their organizations: it fosters job satisfaction, organizational commitment, acceptance of the company’s policy, conflict resolution, and civic-minded behaviors. However, few studies have explored the link between management control systems and perceived justice. This paper reviews the literature on organizational justice theories in association with management control systems. In particular, it examines and provides directions for research on what can increase the perceived fairness, and thus effectiveness, of management control systems.
