| Summary, etc. | The Digital Benin project is the fruit of collaboration between German and Nigerian curators and researchers and focuses on Benin City’s collections in European museums, as well as on the oral history of objects in Nigeria. Hosted by the Museum am Rothenbaum Kulturen und Künste der Welt (MARKK) in Hamburg and funded by The Ernst von Siemens Kunststiftung, it appears innovative in several ways. In this conversation with Felicity Bodenstein, who has been closely involved in the project since its inception, we discuss its challenges, developments and prospects, as well as its collaborative methods. |
