Summary, etc. Working in the field of clinical psychology is based on a paradox: caregivers, and especially psychologists, must listen to intimate information, while at the same time being expected to preserve intimate spaces. The psychologist, like any professional in the care team, will therefore seek shared intimacy without the patient ever having the feeling of an intrusion, that knowledge on their intimate functioning is circulating without their approval. Respecting privacy and intimacy is part of every professional code of ethics. The authors explore this aspect of clinical work that is put to the test by exchanges within the team in two different contexts: the sharing of information collected during a clinical interview, and the sharing of elements from a psychological assessment.
