520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Psychotherapy of the elderly couple generates specific transference and counter-transference reactions in which emotional movements have to be recognised and contained within the framework of the preconscious. Anxiety about death reveals a psychic death already deeply felt in the unconscious that has already long been present.Fortunately, elderly people are most of the time eager to express their fear of death and their dreams as well. Dreams remain, regardless of age, the royal path to the unconscious and also to restoring interactions with the therapist. Psychotherapy of the bereaved person, especially thanks to dream analysis, allows for an opening out to new bonds. The article describes the emergence of a new “young couple of elderly partners”.
