520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The authors think that the couple is founded not only on the satisfaction of needs linked with emerging unsolved issues of premature object’s relationships, but also of needs linked to the necessity to reconnect with split proto-emotions again. The contact and the closeness to the other mind can bring on a development of creative activity of the human mind, or they can rekindle proto-emotional conditions that can produce violence. These are excess of emotions which are evacuated as they didn’t find enough response and transformation. In these cases the couple’s functioning can be characterized by proto-emotional states in dire need to be gathered, contained and transformed, it can also be the consequence of an inadequate container. This is why the couple requests some help. Through clinical examples, the authors try to show how important is to activate during the therapy a process able to bring on an inversion of the direction of evacuation, able to contain violence and take it to the level of thoughts, or at least to reach the first signs of thinking.
