However, if we look more closely, despite the huge increase in screens (tablets, video game consoles, smartphones and so on), children and adolescents are still getting bored. Boredom when playing video games can reveal itself in different ways helping in the construction of the future adult. From passive to active boredom this article will illustrate the different aspects of boredom playing video games during adolescence: playing to fight boredom or getting bored and saying it.
