| Summary, etc. | As places for welcoming and listening to adolescent suffering, the Maisons des adolescents (mda) have become an essential link in the mental, social and sometimes somatic support of adolescents in France. Casado, the Maison des adolescents in the city of Saint-Denis, is a strong anchor point for young people in the area. The population of adolescents that we receive there reflects the population of Seine-Saint-Denis, which is made up of diverse cultures. Some of these adolescents, commonly known as “mnas” (Unaccompanied Minors), arrive alone in Europe. The multiple separations and traumas they have experienced in their lives have led us to give them specific attention. Their trajectory is always marked by ruptures. Issues of separation and dependence, which are central to the adolescent period, are multiplied for them. The reception and care of these adolescents has therefore been the subject of particular clinical reflection within our team. The result is a “specialized” consultation for unaccompanied minors, which is “separate” but closely linked to the Casado reception structure. |
