Summary, etc. | Perversion was always an essential question for Deleuze, even a name of the critique. His praise for perversion depends on the displacements he imprints to the Freudian unconscious, and which register within two great ambitions of his philosophy: suppression of the lack and forestalling of opposition. He acknowledges a more subversive potential in perverse individuation than the hysterical model of the unconscious. Showing contending ontological choices (univocity or subjectivity, monism or dualism), the confrontation between Deleuze and Lacan on the subject of perversion reveals their different conceptions of the knotting between subjectivation and institution. It thus questions the political expansion of their diverging thoughts on the unconscious: the consequences of this in terms of critique and political division in the social realm and the question of the collective or the “group”. |
