À partir de l’étude approfondie du cas d’un survivant de ces attentats particulièrement exposé dans les médias britanniques, il explore la façon dont les dimensions émotionnelle et affective du fait d’être témoin de la souffrance d’autrui génèrent des relations intersubjectives. Cette intersubjectivité donne aux représentations médiatiques une qualité indéterminée à même d’affecter la capacité d’action des individus de manière négative autant que positive. |

| Summary, etc. | This article adopts a discursive approach to analyse media representations, including news media imagery and interviews, conveying personal responses to the 2005 London bombings. Through a deep reading of the case of one survivor who featured prominently in the UK media, it explores how the emotional and affective qualities of witnessing the suffering of others become generative of intersubjective relations. This intersubjective nature of witnessing casts media representations with indeterminate qualities that can redistribute agency in both negative and positive ways. |

Basierend auf der vertiefenden Fallstudie eines Überlebenden dieser Anschläge, dessen Fall viel Beachtung in den britischen Medien fand, untersucht der Artikel die Art und Weise, wie die emotionalen und affektiven Dimensionen der Tatsache, Zeuge des Leidens anderer zu sein, intersubjektive Beziehungen erzeugen.
