520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. How do legal issues contribute to furthering studies on ageing in Africa? This topic will be approached by means of an anthropological approach, a domestic law national approach, and a regional and international human rights legal approach to the African continent. The examples provided aim to show both a lack of existing data and the complexity of the ageing process across a highly diverse African continent, as well as revealing the numerous legal contexts that were often inherited from the decolonization era. Nevertheless, potential legal questions arising from how elderly people are treated could open up future avenues for research, which would enrich gerontology studies that relate to Africa.
