Summary, etc. Lifelong bonds are formed between human beings and animals. The role of animals at the end of life of a hospitalized patient shows the close relationship between patients and their pets. This research is limited to describe the needs expressed by 13 patients in palliative care. The results show the value of unconditional attachment during the end-of-life support process.
