520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. This observation outlines the case of a 30-year old man suffering from femoral bleeding as a complication of severe bedsores linked to paraplegia secondary to multiple sclerosis. It underlines that patients suffering from severe disease and/or their families are sometimes aggressive. The behaviour should be interpreted as the expression of moral suffering. Taking this into account through empathic listening can considerably reduce tensions, and also positively influence the evolution of severe somatic problems. Thus, after two weeks as an inpatient in a palliative care unit, the psychological context and clinical status of this patient started improving markedly, an evolution which persisted after his return home.
