Psychiatric nursing research works on bridging the gap between observed and desired situations, and its applied research aspect is manifested within a variety of validation frameworks. At the crossroads of methodological pathways, comprehensive and explanatory approaches, and deductive or inductive reasoning, psychiatric nursing research examines the epistemological aspects of care research. The operativity and transferability of its findings have shown themselves to be determining factors in the dissemination and promotion of a research culture.
