Summary, etc. The presence of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a child forces the family to implement defensive strategies to fight against psychic maladjustment in the group. Thus, multi-therapy trajectories aim to provide multifaceted care for these children. Research carried out on two families encountered in a psycho-educational centre made it possible for us to understand the effects of the co-presence of different types of care on the mental suffering experienced. The results showed that the therapeutic trajectories were strewn with obstacles, which did not help the family members to symbolise their suffering. However, predominance is still given to “cultural care”, and this is exacerbated by its representations in the families’ societal context. The co-presence of the different types of care is experienced as distressing, pointing to the need for psychological support aiming to establish a psychic balance for these subjects.
