Summary, etc. From a comparative perspective on Palestine and Nicaragua, the article questions the forms of politicization and de-politicization of women’s movements, based on indigenous and exogenous meanings of these concepts, and on an empirical perspective on feminist and women’s mobilization in these two countries. The article analyzes ideological shifts and collective actions’ practices whose repertoires of mobilization have been reorganized as a result of the exhaustion of Marxist-Leninist references, the recomposition of political confliction and the place taken by violence, strategic adjustments to development funding. Finally, it argues that far from any de-politicization — a term sometimes used to emphasize the fallen nature of utopias that were at work or to report the effect of institutionalization of protest groups through NGOs — rather there has been new power relations between the smoothing of conflicts requested by external funding organizations and the quest for radical modes of action.
