Summary, etc. | This article examines two cases of qualitative investigation in order to point out some avenues for rigorous qualitative analysis across disciplinary boundaries. The first case a participatory intervention research in mental health, conducted by psychologists in Brazil; the second is a collaborative biographical research in anthropology on the migration experience in Portugal. In each case, the boundary of a dichotomy is questioned - between subjectivity and objectivity, for the first case, and between singularity and collectivity, for the second. The article proposes a discussion of two notions that are important for qualitative analysis: experience and subject. The qualitative analysis depends on the consideration of the experience of the participants and their inclusion in the critical appraisal of the knowledge produced. |
